Furaha Community Center Is in the Huruma slums outside of the metropolis of Nairobi, Kenya. The center provides care and education for the children of Huruma as well as one daily meal with the new feeding program to help them through their school days. Nearly half of these kids are HIV+, and are living with a guardian because their parents have already died. Furaha provides clinical health care for them and for their mothers or guardians who are living with AIDs. CRUSH also supports microfinance loans to help these kids get the food, clothes and medical attention they need in an area none of us would ever have our children even visit, let alone grow up.

My Friends and Fellow Auto Freaks,
We are holding a fundraiser show-and-shine type CAR SHOW on May 30, 2009 in Napa, California. The proceeds from this event will go to The Furaha Community Center in the slums outside of Nairobi, Kenya, Africa. The Center provides education and health care to some of the most needy children in the entire world. The funds we raise provide these kids with one meal a day of beans and corn to help keep them going and to stay in school. This meal is the only one that some of these kids will get all day.
The fundraising event is called WHEELS – 4 – MEALS. Registration to show your car is FREE, but we need YOUR CARS as our main attraction. We will have carnival type booths to sell food, drinks, baked goods, raffle tickets, and a silent auction to raise the money we need support this cause. There will also be live bands playing music during the whole day’s event as well as a dunk tank, a jumpy-house and a climbing wall to provide the kids with entertainment.
